A tech giant corporation discovered an ancient time rift connecting higher-dimensional space. To monopolize energy, the tech giant concealed this discovery from the world. Its relentless exploitation eventually caused the temporal rift to go out of control, allowing non-Earthly spiritual energy to spread across the globe. Capitalizing on this upheaval, the giant accelerated its monopoly over the world. Gradually, more and more heroes capable of forging contracts with deities through spiritual energy united to oppose the evil forces intent on destroying humanity.
