Set in a future where AI technology has advanced dramatically, this story follows Akira Himegami, who awakens from a long period of cold sleep after pledging his heart to his beloved, Towasa Oumaki. Upon awakening, Akira finds himself in a city ravaged by war, with his country in ruins and society now governed by a powerful organization called OWEL. In this new world, traditional marriage has been replaced by a system known as "Elsie." Overwhelmed by the drastic changes, Akira is further shaken when an android named Yuugure who bears an uncanny resemblance to Towasa appears and pressures him into marriage. Confused but driven by the hope that Towasa is still alive somewhere, Akira agrees to travel with Yugure.
